Jahzaire “Surge” Sutton
Jahzaire “Surge” Sutton – started off with praise dancing in the church since the age of 12 but always had passion for dance since he was little. When he turned 15, he started to train professionally and became heavily gravitated to hip hop.
This love for dancing led him down a path of learning all of the subcategories of hip-hop such as Popping, House, Locking, Krump and so much more! This led him to using foundational styles that he currently implements in his choreography & freestyle. From there, he began taking everything that he was introduced to and became a personified representation of hard work. By the time he turned 20, he began teaching open hip hop classes in Philly & was on an Inspire intensive lineup with names such as Deshawn Da Prince, Rob Bynes, Dario Boatner, Josh Price and more.
He’s now currently signed to Bloc Talent Agency & has recently performed with Keke Palmer! His style is core in foundational movement with a splash of sauce to give it that raw feeling while still respecting the history of hip hop. His style of teaching is rooted in connectivity not only with his students but with the music and allowing that connection to influence a feeling thus leading to the movement. With him knowing the importance of remaining a student while becoming a teacher, you can trust that it will be an informative time in his class.
You can expect an experience from him and a fulfilling vibe every time he teaches. Currently he’s still pursuing his career as a dancer in the industry while building his name as a teacher as well. Be sure to catch him at TDG for a wonderful time!

The class then dives into her unique and original choreography that not only is deeply rooted in the music but also asks each dancer to shape the space around them and bring their individual genuine self to the movement. Every student is encouraged to find their artistic voice, tell a story and connect with their audience. By creating a warm, safe and encouraging environment dancers can truly be fearless, and move from a place of love and devotion to dance.
